The Kendleshire has launched some brand new food menus for its bar and patio area, which are guaranteed to offer guests a real taste of summer.

Overlooking the 18th hole with beautiful views, The Kendleshire’s patio area provides the perfect spot to sit and relax with a drink when the sun is shining. And following on from installing a BBQ in 2017, the golf club has kicked off the 2018 summer season by building their very own pizza oven.

Available on Fridays and Saturdays from 2pm until dusk (weather depending), guests will be able to purchase a delicious freshly made stone-baked pizza from £7.95. The sourdough pizzas will feature a different selection of toppings each night such as chorizo with a fried egg to the classic margherita, and they only take one and a half minutes to cook at 450°C.

In addition, a tapas menu has also been launched and is available daily from 2pm. Among the list of classic Spanish dishes are favourites such as patatas bravas with a home-made sauce, calamari and lemon and marinated chicken thighs. Other highlights are olives (sourced from Italy) and bread, halloumi fries and meatballs. Individual dishes can be ordered for £4.00 each, or three can be enjoyed for just £10.00.

Also on The Kendleshire’s new menu are a range of delicious main courses such as Cornish crab and grilled sea bass from Brixham that arrive at the kitchen daily, a tempting summer salad with chicken, orange and chorizo, sausages that come from a butchers in Bath as well as their popular burger bar range. For lighter bites, there are also a range of sandwiches and paninis available, with fillings including the classic club and ham and cheese.

Head Chef Richard Guest has been in charge of The Kendleshire’s kitchen for three and a half years – he began his working life at the club washing pots and spent several years training as a chef before returning in 2014. Speaking of the launch of their new bar and patio menus, he said: “At The Kendleshire we have a genuine concern for the final product that we serve. Whether we are preparing one bacon roll or serving a table of 20 guests, we are committed to delivering food of the very highest standard.

“We’re not a generic food outlet and quality ingredients are really important to us – for example we tried 10 different burger recipes before deciding on the one that we wanted, and we’re also proud to serve free range eggs that come from a mile and a half away. I really think that our new bar and patio menus have something for everyone, and I’m excited for people to come and try us soon.”

The Kendleshire’s bar and patio area is open to the general public from 8am each day.
