It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Peter ‘William Charles’ Manning, the beloved owner of The Kendleshire, who passed away peacefully this morning.

Peter’s affinity with the land led him to purchase the club in 2001. His love for this place was evident to all who met him, and he was never happier than when he was on the terrace, chatting with members and visitors, and hearing how much they enjoyed being here.

Please rest assured that the club remains in safe hands. The day-to-day operations will continue as usual, and the club will remain open, honouring Peter’s legacy and his commitment to the club.

We will share details of Peter’s funeral arrangements as soon as they are available.
